Breakfast should be simple. We don’t have time to spend creating lavish banquets when the morning ritual barely allows time to iron a crease free shirt, and you’re in the middle of a perpetual daily cycle of “running late”. Just me? I didn’t think so. I hate mornings, but a healthy and tasty breakfast washed down with a coffee or a matcha makes them a lot more bearable.
Avocado is a versatile super food. Packed full of goodness and healthy fats. It helps keep you fuller for longer so you’re less likely to have a naughty mid-morning snack. I won’t go into all the benefits of eating them as that would take a full article alone. In the UK they are now second behind Oranges as the most popular fruit sold, and health conscious people go mad for them, and I’m a huge indulger in the green pear of the Gods!
Sesame and Red Onion Avocado on Toast – the breakfast of champions
Avocado on toast is a classic. If you’ve never had it I urge you to try it. It’s a quick, easy and healthy meal that tastes incredible. This easy breakfast recipe is a small twist on this classic.
I found that sesame oil worked great with avocado from another recipe and decided to mix this with lime and chilli, a combination that always works in Asian cuisine. So bin the sugar filled cereals and snack bars and get some cookin’ awesome fuel inside you.
Start the day the right way, breakfast doesn’t get much better than this!
